Fundraising for North Carolina Fall Xtreme Hike

Thank you for visiting my page! I'll be hiking 30.1 Miles in One Day on the Appalachian Trail!
Why? Because there is currently no cure for CF and too many people die young. I'm hiking to help change that reality.
Two of our children were born with CF - a rare, progressive genetic disease that devastates the lungs, pancreas, and other vital organs. CF makes it difficult to breathe and recurrent infections often lead to extensive lung damage and respiratory failure.
There were years we weren't sure Jacob would even make it to junior high. He endured countless hospitalizations, IV treatments, and a frightening decline in lung function. Thanks to the CF Foundation's relentless research and fundraising, in 2015 Jacob was blessed to be able to participate in a clinical drug trial that changed everything.
Today, he is a college graduate, working and thriving in Indianapolis, and Emily is doing well - healthy, creative, and living a full life. Their progress is a direct result of the science, treatments, and support that events like this hike make possible.
Will you help us end cystic fibrosis?
Please show your support by donating to my fundraising goal - no amount is too large or too small. Your gift is 100% tax-deductible and will directly support research, drug development, and care centers across the country.

10 miles in 90 degrees, 85% humidity on a trail better suited to horses than hiking, but I made it! Having CF is tougher though… thank you for your support!!
