The Hikers Journey

The North Carolina Spring Xtreme Hike will take you on the section of the Appalachian Trail from Winding Stair Gap to the Nantahala Outdoor Center (NOC). This section of the Appalachian Trail offers a rewarding experience for those looking to challenge themselves and enjoy the natural beauty of some of the most iconic points on the Appalachian Trail.
Hikers will check in on Friday, October 10th at the hotel in Bryson City, NC. We will host a pre-hike pasta party and hold a safety briefing. Then it’s lights out!
On Saturday morning, October 11th, hikers check in around 2:30am before boarding a 15-passenger van to be shuttled to the trailhead. Three fully stocked aid stations will provide an assortment of food and drink along the trail. 30.8-miles later enjoy a Finish Line Celebration at the NOC with fellow hikers and volunteers. Hikers are then shuttled back to the hotel for a post-hike celebration party and open bar.
On Sunday morning, October 12th, hikers enjoy a Victory Awards Breakfast before their return trip home. Our Sunday program is one of the best parts of the weekend so please plan to be there!the participant center, the CFF mobile app, or fundraise on Facebook to reach your goal. You can also host a passion fundraising event and check if your employer offers a matching gift program to increase the impact of your efforts.
Join us today and walk away with more than just a feeling that you made a difference in the lives of those living with cystic fibrosis.

Thank you for your efforts to raise awareness and funds so that we can get one step closer to curing cystic fibrosis. Your participation is critical to advance our mission, and now is the time to act. Sign up today to take steps towards a cure for cystic fibrosis!
