My Xtreme Hike Story

Fundraising for North Carolina Fall Xtreme Hike
Matt Chambers
On October 11th, I’ll be hiking 30 miles on the Appalachian Trail in North Carolina with my friend Erin and our “Kure for Kennedy” teammates to help raise money for Cystic Fibrosis. Erin’s daughter Kennedy was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis in 2013 when she was 3 weeks old. At the time, she was given a median lift expectancy of 39 years. Someone born with CF today now has a median life expectancy of 51. That’s how much difference CF research has made in just 12 years! And since research can’t happen without funding, your support actually matters.
You can help make a difference!
Please consider making a donation to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in support of our participation in this year’s Xtreme Hike event. Every gift is generous and every dollar counts. And remember, your donation is also tax deductible. Trekking 30 miles on a mountain trail with a 4,000 ft. change in elevation is a lofty goal. So is finding a cure for CF. With your help, we can do both!
