Hello from Colleen of "Colleen's Crew"! It's time for one of my favorite days of the year, the Frederick Great Strides walk. This year is a huge milestone as it is our 30th walk. It's hard to put into words how remarkable this is for me and my family. When I was born, the life expectancy for someone with CF was less than 30 years old, which I am officially surpassing later this year. My parents - so unsure at that time of what life would look like for their second daughter - didn't waste a second becoming the best advocates and caregivers possible. I am unbelievably lucky to have been raised and cared for by my mom and dad. 

I have now been on Trikafta for 6 years and continue to reap the benefits with improved lung function and overall stable quality of life. It is thanks to people like you and events such as Great Strides for advancements such as Trikafta. Despite my success and stable health, I remain committed to the foundation and entire CF population who do not have access to effective treatments. There is still no cure for CF, and there is so much work to be done. 

Thank you to everyone who donates year after year and comes out for various events. Your support does not go unnoticed and my family and I are forever grateful. I also want to use this space to thank everyone for their support with my mom's cancer journey over the last few years. We are so lucky to have such a supportive community of friends and family. I hope to see many of you at the walk this year!
