My CF Cycle for Life Story
Bruce Haggarty
Fundraising for 28th Annual Massachusetts CF Cycle for Life
Bruce Haggarty
Hello Everyone,
I hope this note finds you well?
I am writing to ask for your donation to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. I’m a bit late this year. The “Cycle for Life Ride” was on Saturday, 10/4/25. I have 30 days to raise my donations.
I have been feeling well so far this year. I have been working on some house projects that I have been neglecting, due to not feeling so great the last couple summers. (The main project is replacing the trim and rebuilding handrails on Newbern entry.)
I am still volunteering at the Eliot School in J.P., as a woodshop teacher for adults. The new Fall season started last week.
I am now on the kidney transplant list as inactive. I’ve started my two year count down clock to get on the active list. I will send an update and information for anyone feel altruistic. 😊
I know, it’s a Big Ask!
❤️
Thank you,
Love,
Bruce / Boo
P.S.
On a sad note. Haylee, the inspiration for “Cycle for Haylee” that expanded to “Cycle for Life”, passed about a month ago , due to CF complications. She will be missed.
There is currently no cure for cystic fibrosis and too many people with CF die young. I’m cycling to help change that reality.
CF is a genetic, life-shortening disease that devastates the lungs, pancreas, and other vital organs. CF makes it difficult to breathe and fight life-threatening infections, often leading to extensive lung damage and respiratory failure.
Every person born with cystic fibrosis is on a unique journey and experiences this challenging disease differently. While progress has been made, a long road lies ahead for far too many people fighting this terrible disease. We need a cure so that everyone with CF has a better chance to live a long, healthy life.
Will you help us end cystic fibrosis?
By donating to my fundraising goal, you have the power to advance the research and science needed to drive our shared dream forward – a cure for everyone with CF.
