Fundraising for 28th Annual Massachusetts CF Cycle for Life

Team Gov Bob is proudly participating in the 2026 CF Cycle for Life in memory of my cousin Kelly Johnson, and for the 30,000 people living in the United States with cystic fibrosis.
I will be riding with a very heavy heart this year, as Kelly succumbed to complications from CF last Fall. Kelly defied expectations throughout her life, she embraced a “One Life, Live It” mindset and had an adventurous spirit. Kelly’s legacy of determination, resilience, and her love of the Cycle for Life event continues to inspire me to help raise awareness for CF and support those on CF journeys.
While there have been tremendous, lifesaving developments in CF treatments, and even notable breakthroughs since our team's first ride in 2012, there are still people living with CF that lack treatments targeting their mutations, there are still grave complications of the disease that may be faced by those under any treatment protocol, and there is still no cure.
We continue to ride to ensure no one is left behind, and until CF stands for CURE FOUND.
And here's what's important to know: nearly every CF drug currently available was made possible through the support of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
By cycling, I am riding to support the CF Foundation and their mission to cure cystic fibrosis and to provide all people with the disease the opportunity to lead full, productive lives by funding research and drug development, promoting individualized treatment, and ensuring access to high-quality, specialized care.
