My CF Cycle for Life Story

For the past 28 years, October = CF Cycle for Life! Each of those years has told a different story. From car washes with my kids, to watching Haylee participate in her first ride, to the approval of Trikafta in 2019, we've had much to celebrate.
This year is different. Our CF Cycle community remembers those who have lost their battle to this terrible disease in a very personal way.
Six-time rider, Kelly Johnson, one of our amazing fighters who received a lung transplant in 2015 and rode that same year passed away last November. Kelly sadly lost her battle after fighting hard throughout her life.
Nine months later, the source of inspiration for our ride Haylee Reed, also lost her battle with cystic fibrosis. She fought a strong and courageous battle and while there have been many advancements in care, it was not enough to save Haylee or Kelly.
The story this year is truly different, but our resolve remains strong. It is more important than ever to keep fighting inspired by their relentless spirit and bravery as well as their families determination.
Love abounds for our friends and family with CF.
