Fundraising for Metro DC Xtreme Hike

Hello dear family and friends,
Thank you for helping Elena fight CF by supporting the CF Foundation through our Xtreme Hikes. Your financial gift and/or your participation in one of the hike events is a huge blessing to our family!
The two events are Xtreme Hike - Snowshoe on September 27th and Xtreme Hike - DC on October 18th:
Snowshoe is the official Xtreme Hike run by the CF Foundation's Metro DC Chapter. Check in September 26th, meet the other teams at dinner Friday night, hike 23 miles on Saturday, finish line party Saturday night, breakfast Sunday morning, then return home Sunday afternoon. I am unable to go this year but Viola and Elena will be hiking and would love company! (You can see in the photo above they have been hike from a young age.) Please, plan to join them. Don't worry about fundraising; I will do that.
Xtreme Hike DC is a "Passion Event" - as the Foundation calls it - beginning and ending at my house. We will start at 7 am with a 10-mile loop around the Monuments. Around noon, we will return to my house for a quick snack and then finish with an 8-mile loop into Rock Creek. You may join for one or both loops. After our successful 8, 10, or 18-mile hike, we will have a finish line party.
I hope you are able to participate in this year's hikes. Please, keep Elena in your prayers.
