Walk with our team to Cure Cystic Fibrosis
Team Cassie
Fundraising for Metro Detroit Great Strides 2026
Team Cassie
Team Cassie walks in memory of our CF fighter Cassie Zell-Husby. It is our honor to continue to support making CF stand for Cure Found. Great Strides meant so much to Cassie. She loved being with her "Cysters" and "Fibros" and be encouraged by all of you. She received a double lung transplant in 2013. This allowed her four more years to see her daughter Laila grow. In 2017, Cassie had a routine medical procedure under anesthesia. She fell asleep and she never woke up. We have peace knowing she did not suffer and more important that she was a redeemed child of God. Even though she was called home and her race is won; we want to make sure everyone who struggles with this disease can breathe easy. To the fighters who undergo treatments, surgeries, the daily struggle just to breath; to the family and friends who are right along side them. We are here with you! We will continue to fight with you!
Every person born with cystic fibrosis is on a unique journey and experiences this challenging disease differently. While progress has been made, a long road lies ahead for far too many people fighting this terrible disease. We need a cure so that everyone with CF has a better chance to live a long, healthy life.
Will you help us end cystic fibrosis?
By donating to my fundraising goal, you have the power to advance the research and science needed to drive our shared dream forward – a cure for everyone with CF.
