My Great Strides Story
Joan Hoopengardner
Joan Hoopengardner
I am the Team Leader of the BHOOP TEAM. David and I have been walking and organizing this team since our middle son, Bryan, died in 2005.
Great strides have been made in treating this disease, but no cure has been found. When Bryan was born in 1985, 50% of the children lived to age 20. Bryan died 25 days after turning 20. Today, the median age is 50. This is because friends and families have supported the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation with their time, talents and treasures.
I hope you can support us this year. We will be walking on Saturday, 17 May at 9:30 at Ida Lee Park, Leesburg, Virginia. If you can't be there in person, please feel free to make a donation to the BHOOP TEAM.
We hope to see you there!
