My Great Strides Story

CF is so close to my heart. On November 14, 2025, I lost my cousin Alex tragically in an car accident. She was 37 years old. She was a literal light on this earth. Her laugh was infectious and she was so adventurous, always wanting to live her life to the fullest. She battled CF her entire life, while also navigating personal struggles and rasing a 7 year old son and 1 year old daughter who both have CF. She fought so hard for her life, her children, and everyone she loved. She was the strongest person I knew and loved her people so deeply. To be loved by her was life changing. This year, we walk in her honor. We walk for her children. And we walk to support all her Cysters and everyone else touched by CF. If you are able to donate, it would be so appreciated.
There is currently no cure for cystic fibrosis and too many people with CF die young. I’m walking to help change that reality.
CF is a genetic, life-shortening disease that devastates the lungs, pancreas, and other vital organs. CF makes it difficult to breathe and fight life-threatening infections, often leading to extensive lung damage and respiratory failure.
Every person born with cystic fibrosis is on a unique journey and experiences this challenging disease differently. While progress has been made, a long road lies ahead for far too many people fighting this terrible disease. We need a cure so that everyone with CF has a better chance to live a long, healthy life.
Will you help us end cystic fibrosis?
By donating to my fundraising goal, you have the power to advance the research and science needed to drive our shared dream forward – a cure for everyone with CF.
