My Xtreme Hike Story
Fundraising for Palo Duro Canyon Xtreme Hike 2026
Tera Fondren
This October, I’ll be hiking twenty miles through Palo Duro Canyon to help raise awareness and funds for cystic fibrosis. This is a cause that is incredibly close to mine and my family’s heart.
My beautiful niece, Sophia, lives with cystic fibrosis every single day. She is the sweetest, silliest, smartest little girl, and that’s why I’ve committed to participating in this event and raising $3,000 for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
Cystic fibrosis is a genetic disease that primarily affects the lungs and digestive system, making it difficult to breathe and fight infections. While incredible progress has been made, there is still no cure, and too many people with CF face significant health challenges throughout their lives.
Every dollar donated goes directly to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation to support life-changing research, treatments, and the search for a cure.
If you’re able to contribute financially, I would be so grateful for your support. No gift is too small, and every donation makes a difference. If giving isn’t possible right now, your prayers, encouragement, and sharing this post are equally appreciated.
Thank you for helping me support Sophia and everyone affected by cystic fibrosis. Together, we can help create a future where everyone with CF has the chance to live a long, healthy life. 💙
