My Great Strides Story
Nancy Wyant
Fundraising for Rochester Great Strides 2026
Nancy Wyant
29 years. That’s how long our family has been fundraising to help find the CF cure. My niece Taylor, and our dear family friends Alexandra and Carley are CF warriors who have been blessed because of you and the miracles that your donations have made possible. They have bravely grown up living with CF. The medication Trikafta became available in 2019, and it has helped them become the healthiest women they’ve ever been.
I am grateful for all of you who have continued to donate over these past 29 years.HOWEVER, there still are about 10% of those living with CF who cannot benefit from any of the modulators to date. There STILL is no cure for cystic fibrosis and too many people with CF die young.
Here’s where we need your support! We need to keep funding research and reach the ultimate goal of a true cure.
I will be walking in the annual Great Strides for Little Feet with the students at Jasper-Troupsburg Elementary School on June 24th. If you can, please donate today and help us provide tomorrows to those who need it most. There is currently no cure for cystic fibrosis, but hopefully together we can make CF stand for Cure Found!
CF is a genetic, life-shortening disease that devastates the lungs, pancreas, and other vital organs. CF makes it difficult to breathe and fight life-threatening infections, often leading to extensive lung damage and respiratory failure.
Every person born with cystic fibrosis is on a unique journey and experiences this challenging disease differently. While progress has been made, a long road lies ahead for far too many people fighting this terrible disease. We need a cure so that everyone with CF has a better chance to live a long, healthy life.
Will you help us end cystic fibrosis?
By donating to my fundraising goal, you have the power to advance the research and science needed to drive our shared dream forward – a cure for everyone with CF.
