The A Team
While the CF Foundation has made incredible progress, not everyone with CF can benefit from existing therapies and we still need a cure. This will require time, funding, and persistence – but with you on our team – we are ready to go the distance.
Our team is committed to providing every person with CF the opportunity to live a long, healthy life. Will you join us?

Allison graduated May 3, 2024 from University of South Carolina with a BSN in Nursing. She began her nursing career at Duke University Medical Center as a Pediatric nurse in July and LOVES it! This past year she has successfully managed completing clinicals 2-3 days a week and starting a new job working 3, 12 hour shifts(alternating day/night shifts)as well as her health and CF regimen of daily vest treatments, breathing treatments and oral medications throughout the day. Since starting Trikafta( (elexacaftor/ivacaftor/tezacaftor), a triple combination therapy available to treat patients who have at least one F508del mutation, which is estimated to represent 90% of the CF population)in September 2019, Allison has been very healthy. No hospitalizations since July 2019! Trikafta really has been a game changer for Allison and so many others fighting Cystic Fibrosis. It has been a challenging and incredible journey since diagnosis March 1, 2001, learning and seeing very encouraging advances over the last 24 years. With continued support, we are confident research will progress at a similar pace and the rarest CF gene mutations will be addressed, including Allison's.
