My Breathe Team Story

Dear Friends and Family,
I am reaching out with an exciting and personal mission. In 2025, I will be running the Big Sur International Marathon to raise awareness and funds for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. This cause is close to my heart because my nephew, Logan Smith, is diagnosed with cystic fibrosis (CF).
Cystic fibrosis is a genetic disease that affects the lungs and digestive system, and while medical advancements have improved the lives of many with CF, there is still no cure. That’s where we come in!
I am running not only to honor Logan but to help fund research that could lead to groundbreaking treatments and, one day, a cure. The journey ahead will be challenging, but I am determined to make every stride count, and I need your help.
I am asking for your support as I embark on this race — whether through a donation, sharing my story, or simply keeping Logan and all those impacted by CF in your thoughts and prayers. Every contribution, big or small, brings us closer to a cure.

There is currently no cure for cystic fibrosis and too many people with CF die young. I’m running to help change that reality.
CF is a genetic, life-shortening disease that devastates the lungs, pancreas, and other vital organs. CF makes it difficult to breathe and fight life-threatening infections, often leading to extensive lung damage and respiratory failure.
Every person born with cystic fibrosis is on a unique journey and experiences this challenging disease differently. While progress has been made, a long road lies ahead for far too many people fighting this terrible disease. We need a cure so that everyone with CF has a better chance to live a long, healthy life.
