We walk for a Cure for CF for our son Colin, shown here on a recent winter hike up Cold Mountain in NC.  While there is currently no cure for cystic fibrosis the advancements in treatment have been life changing for many like Colin.

Colin was diagnosed with CF in 1999 when he was 4 years old; this year will mark our 27th year raising funds for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.  Our team, HOPEFULONES, is closing in on $1M raised.  This money has helped fund the development of drugs like Trikafta which targets the defective protein that underlies CF.  The results have been remarkable helping Colin and others regain and maintain vigorous health.

Trikafta is not a cure for CF, however, and does not work for everyone.  That's why we continue to walk and raise money for ongoing research into genetic therapy, the restoration of the CFTR protein, mucociliary clearance, anti-inflamatories, anti-infectives, nutritional/gastrointestinal health, and the new challenges of CF care for adults .

Would you please join us in the search for a cure and healthy tomorrows for Colin and the 30,000 others living with CF in the United States?  You may donate safely on line here.  We'd also love to have you join us in Brevard, NC on May 31, 2025 for the Blue Ridge Great Strides Walk for a Cure.

Thank you!
