Jenni Burg
Hi there! My name is Jenni, proud wife of a CF warrior. I am excited to race my second marathon, this time raising funds for cystic fibrosis research. All funds raised will support the truly life-changing work of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
CF is a genetic, life-shortening disease that devastates the lungs, pancreas, and other vital organs. CF makes it difficult to breathe and fight life-threatening infections, often leading to extensive lung damage, respiratory failure and low-quality of life. While there is currently no cure for CF, recent advancements in treatment options and care have extended the average life-expectancy from 25-30 years in the 1990s to 65 years today in 2025. Amazing!
I know we certainly don't take these advancements for granted as they have improved the quality of life for my husband immensely, allowing more time and freedom for travel, sport, and family. I know we likely wouldn't be where we are today without the incredible therapeutic advancements made possible in part by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
While progress has been made, CF is a progressive disease and a long road lies ahead for many. We need a cure so that everyone with CF has a better chance to live a long, healthy life.
Will you help us end cystic fibrosis?
By donating to my fundraising goal, you are joining together with me, and many others, to fight CF and help advance the research and science needed to drive our shared dream forward – a cure for everyone with CF.
