Great Strides is more than a walk. It’s a fun, high-energy day full of families, friends, and people who truly care. It’s also how real progress happens. The research funded through events like this is why CF care looks so different today than it did even a few years ago.

Wayland is proud to serve as the 2026 Great Strides Virginia Ambassador, and we’re walking alongside him with a lot of hope and a lot of determination. He has access to life-changing treatments because of CF research. Not everyone with CF does yet, and that’s why we keep showing up.

The progress so far has been incredible, but we’re not done. A cure for everyone with CF is the goal, and every step we take together gets us closer.
