Shake it out

CF is a genetic, life-shortening disease that devastates the lungs, pancreas, and other vital organs. CF makes it difficult to breathe and fight life-threatening infections, often leading to extensive lung damage and respiratory failure.
Every person born with cystic fibrosis is on a unique journey and experiences this challenging disease differently. While progress has been made, a long road lies ahead for far too many people fighting this terrible disease.

Emmie was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis at just 3 weeks old, and since then, she has faced more challenges in her young life than most ever will. At only 6 months old, she underwent a PICC line placement, and she has already been on three different modulators in her fight against this disease. To help her grow stronger, Emmie also had a G-tube placed-and today, she is thriving.

Behind her bright smile is a journey filled with hospital visits, treatments, and daily perseverance. But Emmie doesn't let CF define her. She is full of life, creativity, and joy. She attends St. Mary School, where she loves drawing and spending time with her best friends.

We are endlessly grateful for the dedicated team at CHKD who walk this journey with us, and for the continued research that gives families like ours hope. Every step taken today is for Emmie-and for all those fighting cystic fibrosis-so that one day, no child has to face this disease.

There is currently no cure for cystic fibrosis and too many people with CF die young.

Thank you for walking with us and supporting a cure.

Will you help us end cystic fibrosis?

By donating to my fundraising goal, you have the power to advance the research and science needed to drive our shared dream forward \u2013 a cure for everyone with CF.
