In 2013, I lost my wonderful mother to cystic fibrosis. As with many who fight CF, my Mom was strong and resilient. She was also compassionate, selfless, quick-witted and deeply wise. Her presence was peaceful and pure, she is missed every day by many. Today, we walk for her, for others we’ve lost to CF, for those currently battling, and for future generations.

CF is a genetic, life-shortening disease that affects the lungs, pancreas, and other vital organs. CF makes it difficult to breathe and fight life-threatening infections, often leading to extensive lung damage and respiratory failure.
Thanks to ongoing research and the development of new treatments, the life expectancy for individuals with cystic fibrosis has nearly doubled over the past 30 years. We have the support of advocates, donors, and researchers to thank for that progress.

While this progress is remarkable, there is still no cure, and each individual with cystic fibrosis continues to face a unique journey- managing and navigating the challenges of this complex disease in different ways. We need a cure—so that every person with cystic fibrosis has the chance to live a long, full, and healthy life.

Will you help us end cystic fibrosis?

By donating to my fundraising goal, you have the power to advance the research and science needed to drive our shared dream forward – a cure for everyone with CF.
