My Great Strides Story

There is currently no cure for cystic fibrosis and too many people with CF die young. I’m walking to help change that reality.

CF is a genetic, life-shortening disease that devastates the lungs, pancreas, and other vital organs. CF makes it difficult to breathe and fight life-threatening infections, often leading to extensive lung damage and respiratory failure.

My nephew, Myles, has benefitted tremendously from the medications developed with funds from the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. One particular drug, Trikafta, works well on Myles' mutation. He is able to live a normal life, and for that, we are all grateful for people like you who donate so that Myles and tens of thousands like him can live, fight and breathe!

We don't have a cure yet, but we are hopeful that one (or many) will be found.  It is also a pleasure to fundraise for an organization where you can already see the difference it makes on tens of thousands of young folks' lives. This is our 17th year walking, and we want to thank everyone who has been on this journey with us, providing emotional and financial support.

Will you help us end cystic fibrosis?

By donating to my fundraising goal, you have the power to advance the research and science needed to drive our shared dream forward – a cure for everyone with CF. Together let's make CF stand for "Cure Found!!!"
