This year I celebrated my 30th birthday, just two years shy of the life expectancy I was given at birth. Getting older brings uncertainty and anxiety for me, but due to incredible medical advancements, I am more hopeful than ever for the future. The life I have now is far beyond what I could've imagined for myself just 10 years ago.
Every person born with cystic fibrosis is on a unique journey and experiences this disease differently. Despite my hope for the future, I cannot ignore those who have not been so lucky--some do not qualify for, cannot afford, cannot access, or are too sick to benefit from recent medical advancements. Some still need lung transplants and other interventions. There is currently no cure for CF and it continues to take lives too soon. I’m fundraising to help change that reality.
In September I will be hiking 20 miles to raise awareness and funds for the CF Foundation. By donating to my fundraising goal, you have the power to advance the research and science needed and deliver essential care to people with CF.
Thank you for your support!
