CF is a genetic, life-shortening disease that devastates the lungs, pancreas, and other vital organs. CF makes it difficult to breathe and fight life-threatening infections, often leading to extensive lung damage and respiratory failure.
Every person born with cystic fibrosis is on a unique journey and experiences this challenging disease differently. We have been blessed in our experience with Vivi's CF. She has remained mostly healthy and we are grateful! But, even in the good times, there's a huge burden to this disease. Vivi cannot go a day without taking medications. We continue our clinic visits and tests and chest percussion. Vivi can't take a day off and pretend she doesn't CF. We remain committed to the dream of a cure... a day off.
While progress has been made, there's still much more work to be done. Please help us cure CF!
