I was diagnosed with CF as an adult after struggling for many years with unexplained symptoms. I’m incredibly fortunate that just as my body was starting to take a noticeable turn for the worse, my doctor and I finally found a successful diagnosis. Equally fortuitous, the medication that became a lifesaver for me had only been approved about a year before.
The research that led to that medication was largely funded by donations like these. Thanks to those efforts, I have been able to return to a normal life, for which I am so grateful!!
Sadly, there are many who are not as fortunate, who have a version of the disease that doesn’t respond to existing medications. I’m cycling to help fund research that will eventually put an end to those very sad situations.
