Thank you for your support over the years. Due to advances in Cystic Fibrosis modulators, Jacoby was able to start a new medication (Alyftrek) that is taken once a day rather than twice. Since this is a medication new to the public, he will need to have his labs drawn once a month for 6 months to make sure it is having the same beneficial effect as Trikafta and no unintended side effects. Niobe is saying on Trikafta since she would rather take a medication twice daily vs having a monthly shot for 6 months.
Nevertheless they are both staying healthy and both their lung function tests remain above predicted during their quarterly CF visits.
This year I will be hiking with the Virginia CF chapter in the Shenandoah Valley.
