During my time as an Athletic Trainer, I have had the privilege to witness students not only succeed in their sport but persevere and excel, despite a Cystic Fibrosis diagnosis.
There have been groundbreaking changes in the CF world during the last 10 years. New drugs and new treatments are changing the trajectory of my students' lives in high school and beyond. The Walton Family is a perfect example of this.
This year I am excited to participate in my second Xtreme Hike with some very special people, Waltons' warriors, to help raise money to fight Cystic Fibrosis and find a cure.
There is not currently a cure for Cystic Fibrosis. By participating in Xtreme Hike, I am helping to end this disease for thousands of people impacted by CF. Cystic Fibrosis affects the lungs, pancreas, and other organs. The symptoms can vary from person to person, and as people with CF live longer than ever before, their disease can become more complicated, leading to serious health issues.
Over the last 20 years, Waltons' Warriors have raised over $340,000 towards eradicating the very existence of Cystic Fibrosis and we are not stopping now! As a donor, you can rest assured every dollar donated is used by the CF Foundation to help CF patients and their families. Would you consider being a donor in this fight?
