There is currently no cure for cystic fibrosis (CF), and far too many people with CF die too young. I'm hiking to help change that reality.

Cystic fibrosis is a genetic disease that affects the lungs, pancreas, and other vital organs. It makes it difficult to breathe and fight life-threatening infections, often leading to severe lung damage and respiratory failure.

Every person living with CF is on a unique journey and experiences this challenging disease differently. While tremendous progress has been made, there is still a long road ahead for far too many individuals and families. We need a cure so that everyone with CF has the opportunity to live a long, healthy life.

My uncle, Chris Brennan, was deeply dedicated to this cause and completed the Xtreme Hike eight times! To honor his legacy, I began hiking alongside my aunt, Liz Brennan, who has now completed the hike ten times.

This year will be my fourth hike. While I started hiking to honor Uncle Chris, I've also learned so much about the incredible work of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and the impact it has on people living with CF. Over the past decade, the expected lifespan for someone with CF has increased from about 40 to 65 years. Thanks to continued research and support from people like you, we can keep moving closer to a future where everyone with CF has the chance to live longer, healthier lives.

Will you help us end cystic fibrosis?

By making a donation to my fundraising campaign, you'll help advance the research, treatments, and science needed to make our shared dream a reality: a cure for everyone with CF. Every donation, no matter the size, makes a difference. Thank you for your support!
