My Xtreme Hike Story
Fundraising for Wisconsin Xtreme Hike
Charlie Hutchinson
Thank you for visiting my page and joining me in the fight against cystic fibrosis (CF). This year, I’ve committed to hiking 30 miles in a single day as part of the CF Foundation’s Xtreme Hike – a physically demanding challenge with a powerful purpose.
While I don’t have a personal connection to cystic fibrosis, I believe deeply in standing alongside those who do. CF is a rare genetic disease that affects the lungs and digestive system, and while treatments have come a long way, there is still no cure. Families battling CF face a lifetime of medications, therapies, and uncertainty – and they do it with strength and resilience that inspires me.
I'm hiking to raise both awareness and critical funds to support research, care, and ultimately, a cure. The money we raise will go directly to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, which has made incredible progress over the years thanks to donors like you.
This hike is about pushing limits – not just my own, but the limits of what’s possible in CF care and treatment. Every mile I hike is a tribute to the thousands of individuals living with CF, and every dollar raised brings us closer to a future free of this disease.
Thanks for being here. Thanks for believing in something bigger. And thank you for supporting this mission.
Let’s make an impact together.
