Cystic Fibrosis runs in my family. Two of my nephews, Noah and Aaron, were born with it.
Noah is quickly rising through the ranks at Palantir Technologies. Aaron has started a fellowship for his Ph.D. in Physics at the University of Chicago. They are in their 20s—brilliant, curious, and already leaders in their fields. They have so much life ahead of them.
Thank God, right now, they are in good health. But cystic fibrosis is a cruel and frightening disease. It’s genetic. It’s life-shortening. It attacks the lungs, pancreas, and other vital organs. It makes breathing difficult, infections dangerous, and every cold a potential crisis. And right now, there is no cure.
That’s why this October, I’m taking on a challenge: I’ll be hiking (18 miles in Yosemite!! with my brother, their father) to raise funds for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation—money that will go directly toward research, treatments, and ultimately, a cure.
I’m asking you to sponsor my hike with a donation—big or small—to help us get closer to the day when Noah and Aaron (and every person living with CF) can live long, full, healthy lives without fear of what’s ahead.
Every gift matters. Every step I take on that hike will be for them—and for the thousands of others living with this disease.
You can make your donation here:
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for reading this and for considering a gift. Your support means more than you know—to me, to my family, and to everyone fighting for a cure.
