I hike because I love what happens on the trail.
This will be about my eighth Extreme Hike, taking me to my seventh state along the way—North Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, Massachusetts, Colorado, Nevada, and now California. That’s a lot of miles, a lot of sore muscles, and even more great memories.
I keep coming back because I’m inspired by the CF community—their courage, optimism, and determination. And if taking on a few hard miles can inspire someone else or help make a difference, that’s a pretty good reason to keep hiking.
But I also hike for the people beside me. There’s something special about a long day on the trail. You share the climbs, the sore legs, the laughs, the spectacular views, and eventually a cold beer and some great stories. The camaraderie is a big part of what keeps bringing me back.
This fall, we get to do it all again—this time in Yosemite. I can’t wait.
If you’re willing, I’d be incredibly grateful if you would consider making a donation to support my hike and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Every contribution helps fund research, support patients and families, and move us closer to a cure.
Thank you, as always, for supporting me in this endeavor. I’m looking forward to another unforgettable adventure!
