4 Fourz ❤️
Fundraising for 2026 Bank of America Chicago Marathon
Jake Tompkins
In 2026 I’m taking on the Chicago Marathon, and I’m doing it for someone who should still be here.
I’m running in memory of my mate Fours, who we lost far too young—just a week before his 21st birthday. He was a proper close friend of mine, the kind of bloke who left a mark on everyone around him. Losing him ripped a hole through all of us, and there isn’t a day he’s not on my mind.
So this run is for him.
Every mile, every grim training session, every moment I want to quit—I’ll be thinking of Fours and the people still fighting cystic fibrosis today.
CF is brutal. It steals time, health, and futures. But research, treatment, and support genuinely change lives. That’s why I’m asking for your help. Whatever you can give—big or small—goes straight toward making sure fewer families go through what his did, and that more young people get the chance at the life Fours didn’t.
If you’re able to donate, thank you.
If you can share this, thank you.
And if you knew Fours, or even if you didn’t, I hope you’ll back this run in his honour.
For Fours. For everyone fighting CF.
