Welcome to Johan's cystic fibrosis fundraising page!
Johan was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis in June 2018 after a grueling first 5 weeks of life. Since then, we have endured several extended hospital visits, at home pic lines, multiple surgeries and well over 4,500 hours of chest PT and breathing treatments. It feels we like have spent over 4,500 hours on the phone with pharmacists, insurances and doctors too. And we keep going. Johan keeps going and he is so full of hope.
As I type this Johan is saying, "I have a feeling that if we fundraise every year, they'll have the medicine (a cure) by age 12".
Join us in this fight by donating to his birthday fundraiser today.
Thank you, from Johan and (the rest of us too)
This fundraiser is through ROSE UP.
ROSE UP, now in its sixth year, is a virtual fundraising event created and led by adults with cystic fibrosis (CF). This inspiring event brings the CF community together to advance the mission of finding a cure and improving the quality of life for everyone living with CF.
Recognized globally, the CF Foundation has been a trailblazer in the fight against cystic fibrosis, driving extraordinary medical and scientific progress. Together with the CF community, the Foundation has supported the development of more than a dozen CF treatments—an unprecedented achievement in a short span of time—and helped add decades of life for people with CF.
However, despite these advances, many individuals with CF still do not benefit from existing therapies.
I am proud to be part of ROSE UP this year, joining others in the CF community who dream of the day when CF stands for Cure Found. Please join me in supporting ROSE UP!
