This October, I'll be running the Bank of America Chicago Marathon, my third marathon, but my first time running Chicago!

Growing up with cystic fibrosis, I never imagined I would run a marathon, let alone three. Ten years ago, this wouldn't have felt possible. And that's exactly why I'm doing it again.

This year, I'm proud to be running in support of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, a cause that is deeply personal to me.

There are still thousands of people living with CF who spend far too much of their lives in hospital rooms, fighting battles most of us will never fully understand. While I get to choose to run 26.2 miles, there are people with CF who feel like they are running marathons every single day, just to breathe, just to live. I feel a responsibility and a privilege to fight for them outside those hospital walls.

Even though I've run marathons before, this one carries more weight. It's not just about crossing a finish line. It's about pushing toward a future where cystic fibrosis is a thing of the past.

I'm grateful to be running alongside Tom Anderson and David Oberg. Together, we're aiming to make a real impact. We might not be breaking course records, but we are absolutely aiming to break fundraising ones. If you're able to support, donate, or share, it would mean a lot. Every contribution brings us closer to better treatments, and ultimately, a cure.
